Premier League fans around the world have eagerly been anticipating the release of their club’s new kits for the 24/25 Premier League season. As the pre-season games begin, we will witness each club debut their new kits before the start of their respective league campaign. This past week, we at Back Post asked fans what they thought were the best kits ahead of the 2024/25 Premier League season and, after many votes, we have compiled the eagerly awaited list.
1- Brighton
Although it is the usual simple white and blue stripe shirt, this particular version carries an elegance with it. With a striped front and plain white back and sleeve, the Seagulls will sport the nicest shirt in the league this season.
2- Ipswich
There is so much to love about these kits that newly promoted Ipswich Town will wear this season. The blue home kit has a retro feel to it with its high collar and pin striped front while their burgundy away shirt is designed perfectly by Umbro. The Tractor Boys have announced their return in style.
3- Aston Villa
One of the most eagerly anticipated shirts of the summer. With last season’s excellent season, finishing with a Champions League spot, they now enter the new season with a beautiful Adidas kit. They have also returned to their previous crest after changing to a circle logo for the 23/24 season. The light blue sleeve and collar is a nice touch by Adidas and will stand out in their Champions League journey.
4- West Ham
Umbro have stepped up their game this summer and the Hammers showcase this with a top class home and away shirt for this season. The burgundy home shirt and all black away shirt has a classy feel to it and it will kick start Julen Lopetegui’s stint as new head coach on a positive note.
5- Arsenal
Arsenal have once again crafted two excellent kits for the new season. With a change in logo for the 2024/25 season, these Adidas kits work brilliantly. The Gunner’s will wear a canon-logo on both shirts which fans have been impressed by. Their red home shirt has a white sleeve and side with the Adidas three blue lines to compliment their brave new look. A black away shirt with a green Adidas symbol along with a red logo is a huge improvement from their luminous away shirt last season. Will it be the shirt that see’s Arteta’s men go one step further this season?
6- Liverpool
The Reds debuted their new home shirt on the final day last season, a decision that I still don’t quite understand. They have topped last season’s shirt with a high collar along with yellow pinstripe designs. This home kit is another successful addition by Nike and Liverpool have continued with their Liver bird logo which is a nice touch.
7- Man City
The champions will aim to win a fifth title in a row this season and will aim to do so in a classy, familiar sky blue home shirt. What’s different is their collar and sleeve trim which is an interesting design. It has 0161 written on it which is the area code for Manchester, a nice tribute to their locality.
8- Man United
There is something special about United’s kits for the season ahead. Although simple in their designs, the red and blue shirts cast us back to the 2002/03 title winning side. Snapdragon will be the club’s new sponsor, taking over from TeamViewer. The blue away strip sports an ‘M’ design on the body along with a buttoned up collar to add to this brilliant shirt.
9- Tottenham
Spurs continue with Nike for another season and their home shirt has an interesting take with navy sleeves. I loved the simple white shirt of Spurs in the past and was hoping for something similar this season. Their away shirt is fantastic however. A light blue design with the crest in the centre gets a lot of credit from me. A better home shirt would have seen them make the top three.
10- Fulham
It’s nothing spectacular but it’s the black, buttoned collar that does it for me. Fulham’s 24/25 Adidas home shirt is clean and the black stripes give it a pristine look for the new season.
11- Crystal Palace
The Eagle’s red and blue striped home shirt has become their iconic look in recent seasons and they have continued this look for the new year ahead. The designs on the body of the shirt make it stand out and give it a vibrant look to the Macron made kit. Their yellow away kit is where they lose marks.
12- Bournemouth
Although Bournemouth are yet to release their new shirt for the season, they have released their special editioned away kit, designed by Michael B.Jordan, and it is exquisite. Another successful Umbro designed kit, the Cherries seemed to have changed their logo on this shirt and it is located on the centre of the kit. This looks fabulous and would have placed higher if it was a definite kit for the season ahead, but if this is the direction the home kit is heading, there may be a reshuffle of the order.
13- Nottingham Forest
Their best shirt in a while but still not too much to discuss. A plain red Adidas shirt with the three white stripes on the sleeve. They didn’t pull out the stops for this one.
14- Newcastle
Having heard of a change of kit maker from Castore to Adidas, I had a lot of hope for this one. They did not live up to expectations however. They could have done a lot more with this shirt but kept it safe with the black and white stripe.
15- Chelsea
Not good from the Blues. There were some leaked kit designs for Chelsea over the summer which looked a lot better than the final outcome. A messy design on the shirt but earns some credit with a brave orange trim and crest.
16-Brentford
Brentford made the decision to stick with their home kit they wore last season which is applauded by fans. They have released two new away kits, pink and green, that are nicely designed but nothing special.
17- Southampton
The Saints have Puma designing their shirts this season as they announce their return to the Premier League with plain red and white striped home shirt. They have tried to change things up with an all yellow away strip but it is their kit sponsor that ruins both shirts.
18- Wolves
Sudu is the kit designer this season for Wolves and they have done their best with it. They have put their crest in the centre of the shirt which is different but still does not do enough to take them out of the relegation zone. The home shirt looks as if it hasn’t changed in years so they sadly are in the bottom three.
19- Leicester
Could have been a lot better but they return to the top flite with a poor home shirt. A plain blue Adidas shirt, it looks as if it was designed in a minute. They do have a cool away kit, black with a glittery pink design, but still poor overall. A poor start for Steve Cooper.
20- Everton
The only Castore designed shirt in the league and it’s clear to see why. Everton finish bottom of the pile with a plain blue home shirt. They have tried to shake it up with a design on the body but still nothing to compliment. Their sponsor, Stake, is the first thing you notice with this shirt and Sean Dyche will be hoping that this isn’t a sign of things to come.
